The Green Generator

– will test and demonstrate a sustainable, green, and efficient substitute for diesel generators as well as green battery solutions.

The solution is based on further innovation of the HTPEM (High Temperature Proton Exchange Membrane) fuel cell solution into a system that matches the performance of a traditional diesel generator but with a significant reduction in pollution. The system, which can be integrated into smaller units or as a container solution, runs on green methanol, thus becoming a flexible, sustainable solution with many applications. Regarding operation, the solution is additionally easy to manage and logistics-friendly compared to, for example, a 100% battery solution, which would not need to be moved ad hoc in connection with charging, but instead has an integrated tank.

There are two configurations of The Green Generator:

It is

Efficient

The green generator is efficient compared to a standard diesel generator. Intelligent control ensures reduced energy loss and the system requires minimal service, and the price lower than with a diesel generator.

It is

Quiet

The green generator is an ideal solution for construction sites and events where the noise level needs to be as low as possible.

It is

Logistics-friendly

The solution is all-in-one: it is compact, portable, and easy to operate and service. It can be installed in under half an hour and is transportable on a trailer. Additionally, with remote service and everything integrated into the same solution.

It is

Green

The green generator uses (bio)methanol to achieve an immediate 80% reduction in CO2 emissions. Switching to blue methanol offers a cheaper alternative while green methanol approaches net-zero CO2 emissions.

Green energy for scaling

The generator is modular in capacity and supplies electricity tailored to needs, i.e., the solution adjusts the amount of power generation according to need and thus avoids unnecessary waste, which unfortunately is the case with many current solutions on the market.

The green generator converts green methanol into electrical energy right where it is needed. This can be in connection with construction work where the construction site continuously moves, or in the early phases of construction, where there is not yet, or only limited access to the electrical grid.

Furthermore, the system is virtually silent and without vibrations, so it does not cause annoyance to possibly close residents. It also allows the system to operate outside normal working hours, without causing annoyance to the local environment.

Partying and building on green energy in North Jutland

The green generator solution is already set up for testing and demonstration, and can be seen in action at CO2 neutral construction sites in Aalborg Municipality, where it supports energy needs for the electrification of mechanical vehicles, tools, toilet trailers, etc. It can also be experienced at Aalborg Events’ annual recurring event, Aalborg Regatta, and concerts in Denmark.
